This is a programmed Guided Ordering Channel where options and choices are presented to you according to the 'bridge saddle spread' that you indicate below and the 'type of cover' you indicate on the SPECIFY Tab. Get those right and you can't go wrong. However we check all orders and we will check with you if we spot a mistake.
Saddle Spread (Very Important):
It is very important you indicate the correct bridge because the website will allocate the pole spread for this pickup according to the bridge saddle spread you click. This will assure satisfactory alignment of the poles and strings, resulting in good string loudness balance.

Modern soapbar Gibson's have a magnetic mounting plate on the floor of the pickup cavities. This must be replaced with our non-magnetic plate in order not to comprise beyond excellent hum cancelling of our P-90 Hx. This kit included everything you need and is easily swapped. Should your Gibson not have a mounting plate then do not include this kit, so if you are not certain please take a peek under a pickup.
Remove one mounting screw (not both) and look at the thread form. If it is a fine thread form like shown for the two long screws top left of the picture of the mounting plate kit then it's a sure thing you have the steel mounting plate. However, if the thread form is coarse, more like the two shorter screws on the right side of the picture then we would think you do not have a metal mounting plate. To be absolutely certain you should loosen the strings, remove both mounting screws and take the pickup out of it's cavity and check the floor of the cavity (no need to disconnect any wiring to do this).
New build guitars will also benefit with this plate since it provides an easy and accurate way to position mounting screws for Soapbar pickups, and provide smooth and easy height adjustment.
Are these pickups are for a Gibson ES175, Epiphone Casino or other hollow body f-hole guitar with Dog-Ear covers? These will need a Kinman Dog-Ear cover Mounting Bracket for each pickup
NOTE 1: Some Epiphones such as the Casino "Coupe" have a routed neck pickup cavity which does not require a bracket but the bridge still does, check the cavities before proceeding. Take the pickups out other brand guitars to see if a bracket is required for each pickup too.
NOTE 2: For other brands of f-hole guitars check the 'Install requirements' file to see if the Mounting Bracket will fit.
