Modern soapbar Gibson's have a magnetic mounting plate on the floor of the pickup cavities. This must be replaced with our non-magnetic plate in order not to comprise beyond excellent hum cancelling of our P-90 Hx. This kit included everything you need and is easily swapped. Should your Gibson not have a mounting plate then do not include this kit, so if you are not certain please take a peek under a pickup.
.New build guitars will also benefit with this plate since it provides an easy and accurate way to position mounting screws for Soapbar pickups, and provide smooth and easy height adjustment.
