This set is comprised of AVn-60b & AVn-60n both Gen-2 singles (details in the Single Pickup section).
..... played and enjoyed by aussie Troy Cassar-Daley who said "I was half expecting a plastic noiseless sound but I am more than delighted with these Kinman's"
These AVn-60 Gen-2 series pickups actually surpass the single coils in the 1960's white-edgebound Custom Tele. Both pickups in the 60's Custom set are bright and twangy, have excellent definition, dynamics and high end cut n sizzle. Great for chickin pickin country lead or any other style. That "Telecaster sound" ... the middle switch position, is remarkably pronounced.
There is intense piano mid-tone detail and lots of sharp but sweet twang with increased dynamic response (strings feel more relaxed and the springy sound just flows without effort) .... and has Zero-Hum and zero microphonic screech. Other features you will be delighted with is the balanced string levels and the minimization of string crash and rattle thanks to the low strength Alnico-K rod magnets, which, like all our Fender type pickups, string pull is minimized and sustain is longer.
These all NEW Gen-2 pickups are very different to the original 1st generation predecessor. The taller coil, longer magnets and Kinman's patented magnetic focusing device produces non-aged sound which is much more alive and open. The sound is punchier with increased dynamic response for more fluid touch sensitivity (strings feel more relaxed and the springy sound just flows without effort).
Zero-Hum and wax potted for Zero microphonic screech. However, be aware that magnetic steel bridges compromise the hum cancelling ability of our Tele bridge pickups. The solution is a non-magnetic Stainless Steel bridge made by Glendale Guitars in Texas. They make 4 different kinds of Tele bridge with various Cut-Aways designed for comfort. Highly recommended. https://glendaleguitars.com/stainless-steel/
Best in a Kinman TK3 or TK4 Goodbye-Soldering Harness.
Some people will call these noiseless Telecaster pickups but Kinman prefers to describe them correctly as Zero-Hum Telecaster pickups. That's because there are 2 types of noise, Hum which is cancelled in the pickup and Buzz which can only be minimized by shielding the wiring cavities (refer to >Technical >Perfect Guitar > Shielding for newer guitars

** Alnico-K is a unique proprietary Alnico rod magnet developed by Kinman in 1985. It is Alnico-5 but has 40% less string pull than Alnico-5 so sustain is longer and there is much less clatter from string crash and no Strat-itis string warble.

Hey guys! Thanks for sending all the awesome pickups. I've enjoyed trying them all and the kinman harness makes it so easy to swap them out! Gosh, the Avn-60b is just the most perfect Telecaster bridge pickup imaginable. Wow! I especially love that one ... so much I just ordered another one.
The P90-Bucker is still just awesome in the humbucker style. Really incredible. I look forward to shooting the 580 Alnico P-90 out soon too!
Chris, Your 60's tele pickups are worth their weight in pure gold. I have lived with them in my tele for the last 4 months. You own a well deserved hype in the USA. You own silent single coil theory. I have fender gliss due to your fervent genius. I am preaching, but my tele does all the talking. Love,
USA
Hello, I want to let you know how the new Custom 60's PU set worked out. I installed the PU's in a parts Telecaster. The body and neck are from Warmouth and the electrics were from another Telecaster. I have to say I'm knocked out by the tone. I used the guitar recently in a coffee house setting through an ZT Acoustic Amp with a Wampler 70's Tweed Pedal and a RC Boost and blew everybody away. The combination of the Warmouth Neck and the Kinman Tele PU's allows for amazing control of expression. Great stuff.
Dear Chris, Plugged in my 60's tele pickups and WOW!!. This is the outstanding vintage tele sound I have spent years looking for. Absolutely brilliant tone, clarity and warm fat sound, everything you said they would do. These are GOLD. I've been playing on and off for over thirty years and now you have given me the sound that I dreamed about. Buchanan, Cropper, Burton it's all in there. Magnificent work, I just can't put the bloody guitar down, Kind regards,
I play in a popular Denver, Colorado blues band (the Jill Watkins Band - we are at www.jillwatkins.com) and I have been through all the pickup fads (and many of them were fine products). But I wanted to let you know that I stopped experimenting with Tele pickups after installing your 60s custom Tele pickups in my Fender Highway 1 Tele almost two years ago. They are silent in bar and club situations that would make other pickups howl with hum, and they have a throaty, clear and strongly defined tone that I can't do without. That guitar instantly became my number one instrument, and I have played it at countless gigs since then. I read your comments about how you always try to make your pickups better...if your current 60s Tele pickups are even better than these, then it's almost not fair! Thanks for making such a great product which has come through for me time after time in front of crowds of blues lovers.

To say the least, I am amazed. I installed a 60's Custom set of pick ups and now the guitar sounds fabulous (I should have known). I have Kinmans in my American Standard Strat and in my Custom Nashville Tele.
Kinmans are great. They MAKE THE SOUND!!!!!!
Keep up the great work.
Thanks! Fred
